Eddie Jones to be unveiled as Japan Rugby coach for Rugby World Cup: Frans Ludeke reveals details

Australian rugby’s Eddie Jones is set to return as the Japanese head coach. According to Japanese media, the 63-year-old has been chosen over South Africa’s Frans Ludeke to lead the Brave Blossoms. Jones is expected to be officially appointed on December 13. He will be joined by former Wallabies manager Chris Webb. This move comes after Jones resigned as Wallabies coach in October. During his dramatic year with the Wallabies, he promised a return to past glories but oversaw the team’s worst result at a World Cup. Despite his troubles with Rugby Australia, his close relationship with the Japan Rugby Football Union was influential in his return to the Japanese coaching role.
