Since the legal age at which you can start driving is 16, this is the age at which people tend to learn how to do this sort of thing once all has been said and is now out of the way. However, some people just don’t end up learning how to drive for a wide variety of reasons. Perhaps you didn’t own a car and so you didn’t feel the need to do so, or perhaps you were busy with other things that left you without a lot of time to focus on anything apart from your main day to day activities.
The good news is that even if you never learned how to drive, there is no age limit at which you might be able to pick this skill up. In fact, someone that learns how to drive in adulthood has a higher chance of being a safe driver since they would not have the overconfidence that comes with having driven for years and years. Don’t feel discouraged if you are older than all of the other kids that are learning how to drive. There is no reason for you to feel ashamed, and a surprising number of people pick this skill up later on in life so you might not even be the only adult in the class.
People that think that they are too old to learn how to drive need to be shown that this really isn’t how things are at all. Driving is a skill just like any other, and while it can be a bit easier to pick it up during your younger days older people learn how to drive all the time too.
