The Canberra Raiders have concluded their search for a new backrower with the acquisition of Zac Hosking from the Panthers. Hosking, 26, joins the Raiders on a three-year deal effective immediately after spending just one year at Penrith. He has been granted an immediate release by the Panthers and is expected to bolster the Raiders’ backrow options. According to Joel Carbone, head of recruitment at Canberra, Hosking’s versatility and character will be valuable additions to the club. The Wests Tigers have signed Solomona Faataape, a standout new centre from the Q Cup, to provide depth in the position. The St. George Illawarra Dragons have added to their halves options with the signing of Ronald Volkman from the Warriors. The signing comes after the Dragons were rejected by two other options and lost Junior Amone due to an assault conviction. Overall, multiple NRL clubs have made significant roster changes heading into the new season.
