The Game-Changing A-League Players of Round 4: Who Made the Difference for Their Teams?

The 4th round of the football fixtures saw 20 goals and some great games. Jason Geria played a standout match for Melbourne Victory, making marauding runs forward and assisting their only goal. Alex Paulsen was outstanding for Wellington Phoenix, displaying calm and composed manner and making six saves. Ben Garuccio worked tirelessly for Western United, providing a great assist to defend against Newcastle Jets.

Mark Natta put in a good shift for Newcastle Jets, curtailed attacks from Western United, and played his role well. Josh Brillante was outstanding for Western Sydney Wanderers, helping control the game’s tempo and providing an assist for the goal.

Alexandar Susnjar kept the scoreboard respectable for Perth Glory, winning 12 out of 15 duels. Zach Clough provided something for Adelaide United, winning a penalty and scoring the goal. Joe Lolley played phenomenally for Sydney FC, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Jamie Maclaren broke the deadlock for Melbourne City and got his team back into the game with a goal in the 90th minute. Ulises Davila was involved in all three goals scored by Macarthur FC. Jake Farrell was instrumental in keeping Central Coast Mariners in the match, winning ten out of 13 duels and making four successful tackles.

Florin Berenguer broke the deadlock for Brisbane Roar and showed great character.
